Sometimes shopping your stash for something to spin can be overwhelming. Most stashes have so many different braids, batts, colors, and natural fibers. Don’t even get me started on the leftovers from other projects!
Get creative in this class that will help ease the stress of spinning your stash. You’ll be handed a secret bag of fibers (pieces of braid, dyed and natural fibers) that we’ll spin into several different yarns.

We’ll work through how to combine different colors and fiber of stash fibers into yarns that will excite you, and discuss how to plan for projects of different sizes. There will be a Rolling Stash in the middle of the floor to augment your bag of fibers and other surprises.
Each student is strongly encouraged to bring two 4-ounce dyed braids of fiber that they don’t love anymore (no compacted fibers, please). We will make minnies (.25 ounces fiber bundles), and fill a fiber pool of love. Everyone will get to scoop the same weight of minnies as the fiber they brought, transforming their unloved braids into a bag of mixed up minnies to mix and match with your stash at home.

Materials fee: $20

Level: If you are familiar with your wheel, can spin a continuous thread, and have plied a yarn, this class is for you.
